                      - the lasso tool you can create your own shapes opposed to the Pen tool which makes exact shapes
4. What is the benefit of using a Layer Mask as opposed to using an Eraser?
                      - an layer mask is working in a non destructive way because one can always bring back the image.

5. What is "non-destructive" editing and why is it an important approach for a photographer using Photoshop? 
                     - non-destructive editing means that you are working in a way that never ruins the original copy of the image, and everything can be restored to its original form.
